Under the Magnolia Tree

We love to hang out under the magnolia tree - especially when it's in bloom, and if you've ever known a magnolia tree you'll know that it doesn't last long. Last year it bloomed on a Sunday in March so I guess it's a little late this year. Or it was early last year. We'll see what happens in '14.

This weekend Brandon had finals, but we still make sure to get out and do something as a family.  It's so important, especially with Brandon working double full time.

Anyway, I thought it would be fun to do a little then & now. 11 months apart if you want to be super specific.

    The beach, which we can walk to! And the two zoos around here, since we're members. Once we've gone two or three times, it is essentially free the rest of the year. Also to NY to my mom's house. Post about that coming soon!

    I think it's so sweet that you have such a special place for your family to share memories.

    The only thing I have that comes close is the rocking chair that my dad bought for my mom (probably when I was in high school though)... From rocking 8 pounders to toddlers rocking themselves.

    Not quiet the same, but I do think your place is super cool.
