Germ Haters UNITE: it's that time of year again!

clean smart sanitizer review, alcohol free hand sanitizer, kid friendly hand sanitizer
Kill germs - not your hands.

When one of my preemie mom friends asked if I wanted to try a new alcohol-free hand sanitizer from a company she's been working with I said UHM, YES!!! If you have ever spent time in the NICU or even around a newborn during RSV and flu season you're probably a sanitizer fanatic, too.

BUT! I'm learning that the germaphobe thing isn't just about having a preemie - it's about being a MOM! OR, not. Before I was a mom I was always working with people, first as a preschool teacher and then a server at a bar so I was always touching people-goo and washing my hands like a maniac.

When your baby gets bigger, strollers and baby carriers are no longer an easy answer: they want to do it all themselves. So if you find yourself trapped at the SPCA waiting on a vet for four hours and your child becomes so bored they start rolling on the flea ridden, urine-wiped floors you'll be glad you have something safe in your bag for yourself and them.

Before Clean Smart I carried those delicious little sanitizers from Bath & Body Works until I read about how kids find them so yummy they'll drink them!!!! Suddenly that sparkly rubber mini-holster and brightly colored gel didn't seem so smart to have in the open or even in my bag since he can now open zippers with ease.

Clean Smart is kid-safe!!!! and it has worked. Which is why I'm reviewing it AND hosting a giveaway.

I have very dry hands as I've mentioned so this has been helpful to me. There are two bottles to try: one squeeze, one spray. I personally prefer the spray and find it easier to get onto Tristan's hands (like at the petting zoo when he's touched one goat while brushing his hair with their grooming tools and moving onto the next animal) but my husband always prefers squeeze/pump santizers.

How does it compare? SUPER. I love it. You don't get that alcohol-evaporating feeling after you apply it but that means your hands aren't out to dry. More importantly, it works.

Currently it's available on their website but is coming to stores and Amazon SOON! along with a line of household cleaners.

So let's get on with it: I know you want to try it, too. First the blah blah blah's: I was sent two sets of spray/squeeze sanitizers with no obligation to review or promote: one was for me, the other to giveaway if I wanted. I want. BUT. In this giveaway it is me who is doing the packaging and paying for shipping on the complimentary set. I will get it to the post office ASAP (it's actually my sweet husband who does most of the mailings so hoorays to him!).

Also, the mom-friend I mentioned is Tatum from Ain't No Roller Coaster. If you aren't familiar with her fantastic blog, please give it a read. She has written so much that has touched my heart. This is how I try new things, though: word of mouth through friends & real people. It makes all the difference, I think. If you have read her blog, chances are you respect her opinion, too.

Now, the fun!

Your site is one of the few I've been able to keep up with now that I'm working outside of the home again, you always make me smile. xoxo

  5. This stuff sounds awesome! I was just thinking the other day that with Spawn 2.0 coming in Winter I needed to start stocking up. Does it have a scent? The "green goo in the pump" always makes me want to ralph when I smell it.

  12. YES! I was always worried about the alcohol and even moreso as he's gotten older. It never occurred to me that he might want to knock back a bottle because they smell so yummy! So while fragrance free isn't my first choice it's the smarter choice for now!
