Preserving Tee's outfits

I have arrived at the crossroads all parents find themselves at during the first few months: letting go of little outfits outgrown by their baby. Tee started out extra-tiny & outgrew his first things while still in the hospital. When I look at the those outfits I'm amazed that he fit into them; they used to be big on him!

Now we find ourselves in the 0-3 section. Last week I tried to put a NB outfit on like usual & it was as though he'd outgrown it overnight. He probably did! The sleeveless onesies I'd ordered for summer taught me a valuable lesson: always order a size up. Even preemies don't stay little forever.

While I do a lot of crafting I'm terrible when it comes to sewing, but I thought of something perhaps even I could handle. Fabric flowers. I used to wear them as pins or hair pretties, & they are a missed accessory of mine. My friend brought over some tulle & other fabric scraps I could use as filler. Here's my first try! I've already learned that I shouldn't use patterned backgrounds (the flower is on top of a brown, flowered cosmetic bag).

Discreetly keeping pieces of baby around.
