Crocheted Flower

pink crochet flower, crochet flower, crochet rose, crafty valentine idea
I call it a crochet Valentine Rose!

Since I cut my foot in half I've been stuck in one spot with a pile of yarn, a crochet flower book from the library, and nothing but time on my hands. Luckily these are all pretty simple as long as I stick with the ones that are built from basic stitches. I’m constantly surprised by how much easier it is to crochet than knit – but I think that also has to do with how much easier it is to fix a mistake in crochet than while knitting.

I don’t really have a plan for the flowers just yet. I’ve seen some cute ideas and might turn them into a muff one day (with a pretty ribbon to tie into a bow and complete the look). I suppose I could also make a garland or a wreath or an extremely intricate blanket? We’ll see how long it takes my foot to heal.

Right now I’m just working through each page and conquering all the flowers I can.

I love pink and red together! It reminds me of a Valentine Explosion and so my room is also pink and red (with a little teal thrown in to break it up). It’s pretty!
