Love & Laughter

Tee & I made Papa a surprise picnic in a box this afternoon. Ava helped by cutting out pictures of flowers to adhere to the picnic box because I forgot to look for wildflower-cityweeds while juggling Tee and groceries on the way home. I thought it looked really cute! While I was making dinner and wrapping dishes in plastic wrap Ava had Tee up on the sink and he burst into laughter. We froze and looked at each other like this O_O

"Tristan! That's a big boy laugh, not a baby laugh!" Ava summed it up on the spot. "Quick, get your camera!"

I was frozen as I listened to the gales of giggles upon giggles that Tee was unleashing over the sound of plastic wrap. But I dropped it and ran. He thought that was funny, too! I haven't had time to check out the video, but I think we caught a little bit of it.

Tee wound up in Papa's arms with a card taped to him inviting him to go across the street to the park for dinner. He was surprised. The weather was beautiful; it was a perfect evening.

We sat in the grass on a cool tiger-in-the-jungle sheet someone donated after the fire. It's pretty terrific.

We had salad, fresh baked bread still warm from the oven, & apple slices in robot cups.

Betcha saw this coming!

  1. Oh Laughter!! That's awesome! I'm still waiting for it ;) I'm sure it's coming soon! She squeals sometimes...the seizures set us back, but today she smiles again!

    Your picnic sounds delightful!
