Memories of Amanda Palmer: Experimental Performance Art

Tristan and I had ran into a musical treat on our way through the park this afternoon. He froze when he found the source of the music and was entranced with live guitar and drum mixed with mask and furs.  An Experimental Rock Performance Artist with no name.

It reminded me of living in Cambridge and all the amazing street performers who gravitated to Harvard Square. My favorite was The Bride - who was really Amanda Palmer, but back then her name meant nothing. She was just The Bride with no name, no voice; haunting and hypnotic especially by moonlight. It was hard to find photographs to share - because digital cameras weren't used back then. How I wish!

I don't know who we saw in the park today but maybe one day Tristan can say, oh yeah, I used to sway to that dude's jams in the park back when I was a tot. You never know...

  2. I know I whine about the city a lot but I am also so in love with it. I love that we can just stumble across stuff like this. I'm a city mouse...who just wants a YARD! ;)
